Honor our Veterans

The U.S. President Woodrow Wilson first proclaimed an Armistice Day (Veterans Day) for November 11, 1919. In proclaiming the holiday, he said:

"To us in America, the reflections of Armistice Day will be filled with lots of pride in the heroism of those who died in the country's service and with gratitude for the victory, both because of the thing from which it has freed us and because of the opportunity it has given America to show her sympathy with peace and justice in the councils of the nations."

I'd say that sums it up quite well, wouldn't you? So without getting too cheesy, sappy or long-winded, I'll simply remind that we shouldn't spend just one day honoring the sacrifices of our soldiers, but should remember them everyday as we all live our free lives. Regardless of how you feel about war and the military in general, you have to respect those who selflessly give so much.

So many from so many nations sacrificed their lives for us, and still do. We must never forget.
