Sharing Favorites with Starving Artist Designs

Hi there! I’m Heather, aka Starving Artist Designs. I live in Chicago with my husband and our vertically challenged dog Sammy, (golden/basset.) We own a 120 year old 2 flat that we have been slowly renovating. I love things vintage and modern and I’m obsessed with interior design. I work part time as a photo editor (yawn) and the rest of my time is spent making metalwork and running my Etsy store. I call my jewelry style Modern Organic because my work tends to be very simple and streamlined with a natural theme running through it.

Ok, enough about me, lets to get to my favorites!

I love love love this photographers work! Really hard to choose which one to feature as I pretty much love it all. Great rich colors and depth in this one. Someday I will have it!

How cute it this?! Check out her store, she’s got a bunch of other itty bitties that are equally as cute.

What a great kit! I’ve purchased a couple of fat quarters of Swanky Swell’s fabric before. It’s really lovely. Right up my Modern alley.

I bought a pair of these for my mom for her birthday recently. She loves them! I have to confess that I tried them on before sending them to her and they look so cute on.

I love watercolors and this print is so sweet. (And it comes with a mat!)

I bought these truffles for my wedding reception last year and they were so good. If you like sweet and salty you’ll like these.

I came across this calendar just the other day. I’m a big fan of letterpress and the all-in-one style calendar.

I’ve had my eye on these felt brooches for the longest time. I love the pairing of colors in this one. Wouldn’t it look great on a wool winter coat?

My favorite pieces of my own work are usually the pieces I just finished.

I made this necklace last week. I love paring yellow stones with the grey of silver. A warm and cool contrast is so pretty.

If you’ve been to my store before you’ve probably noticed my leaf obsession! I love making these little guys. This one is my current favorite. He’s modeled after a little leaf I found on the ground while walking my dog.

This is one of my favorite pieces of turquoise. I’ve never seen a stone with this coloration before.

This is not a new piece but it’s my favorite botanical silhouette to date!

Thanks so much for sharing, Heather!
