The anonymous commenter before me read my mind. It took me less than the blink of an eye to choose being a mom, but like she said, it just isn't happening. Yet.
I would be a more present, patient, loving, and thoughtful wife and mother. Which can really only be done through personal change and self-sacrifice, but the consequences can only be good, and (as I try to remind myself) are within my ability to strive for every day. I just have to choose to do it. Some days are better than others, but life is a constant work in progress--hopefully in the long run, I'll choose to be the person I want to be more often than not.

Wow! On a whim I checked your blog fully expecting the pepper recipe again but was pleasantly surprised. I think of you and wonder how you are when I wear any of your jewelry. Your life sounds very full an interesting. If you are someone who can do hospice then I am glad you are persuing it. The comfort hospice workers provide is beyond my comprehension...
And I would be a personal trainer or boxing instructor or something more athletic if I had a do-over.
