Prettier Than a Pig's Head...

So on this lazy Sunday I decided against sharing with you the photo I took yesterday of the roasted pig's head and instead decided to share something just a bit prettier...

The insanely beautiful Mr. and Mrs. Petaja and a couple shots from their recent wedding in which Chelsea, the blushing bride, is sporting two beautiful Lillyella pieces, made especially for her. I'm so honored that a little piece of me was part of their wonderful day.

And much well-deserved credit to their awesome photographer,

A Morning Visitor

I was lucky to catch some photos of this little fellow taking a break on our roses this morning. He was a good model - even moved his wings around and stuck his tongue out at me a few times :)

I'm not exactly sure what kind of butterfly it is. It most resembles a Swallowtail, but does not have any "tails" - anyone know?

A Morning Visitor

The window in my studio looks right out onto the roof of our deck, and how lucky am I that little birdies just to love to perch up there! I was serenaded by three of these little guys while I packed up orders this morning.

Barn Raising!

Yup... that's my backyard. If you could call it that :)

The walls are going up! Though sometimes I'm tempted just to leave the war zone as is and hang out in the front yard...

Happy Fourth!

Ah yes... my favorite holiday is upon us! Nothing is much better than fireworks, so I am quite excited for dusk to come.

In the meantime we must all take a moment to be thankful for all the independence we have in this great country and to remember all the men and woman serving. I am lucky that Tyler's Army days are done, but many of our good friends are right now serving in lands far away, and my thoughts are always with them and their families.
